Anya Randall Nebel’s journey through music has always been powered by curiosity, resilience and a refusal to be placed in one lane.
Born in Baltimore, she grew up surrounded by an eclectic mix of Patsy Cline, Motown, protest songs and the sound of family music. A first encounter with Rita Moreno in West Side Story made the direction clear: the stage was where stories could become larger than life.
For more than 40 years, Anya has performed, directed and produced in musical theatre and live performance. She is a classically trained soprano with a practice that reaches from blues and jazz to R&B, rock and electronic music. Her education in Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music opened another way of shaping a song from the inside out.
As The Anya Audette, she is writing a new chapter as an independent recording artist. The work does not chase a genre. It returns to songs with feeling, history and room for a singular voice.
